The trend of Millennials asking each other to "watch Netflix and chill" is getting popular — so popular that it's already a Halloween costume. (If you don’t know what the term means, check out the top definition on Urban Dictionary.) Could this be the reason why Netflix has upped their monthly price by $1?

According to CNNMoney, the television and movie streaming provider has increased its standard plan from $8.99 to $9.99 a month. The one-dollar increase will be effective immediately for new subscribers in the United States, Canada, and Latin America — however, existing subscribers won't experience the price increase for a year.

What will this mean for the future of "Netflix and chill?" Here’s some advice, kids: Condoms are cheaper than Netflix!
