Michigan minister believes he has captured image of angel over his truck
From the Facebook page of Jordan Rivers Church, East Jordan, Mich.

A Michigan parishioner believes his security camera captured an image of an angel flying over his pickup truck.

Last week, Glen Thorman, the fire chief and a member of the congregation at Jordan Rivers Church in East Jordan, out in Charlevoix County, says his home security system, activated by motion, sent him a brief video clip from outside his home. It showed a winged creature flying over his truck and then flying away.

Thorman told a local television station, “I said ‘That’s an angel!’ And I was just blown away. I couldn’t wait to send it to my wife and send it to Deneille. And I said ‘I got an angel, and my camera took a picture of an angel.'"

Deneille Thorman says she, "went like, ‘Whoa! That’s an angel!' And I texted him back, ‘That’s an angel.’”

Like, WOW! Or OMG, even!

Pretty soon, the pastor at Thorman's church was in on the revelation as well, with a Facebook update saying, "Yep folks... It's an angel. I guess there is no question who is watching over their residence while they sleep, and yes, they pray that The Angels of the Lord will surround them and their property....These photo's have not been altered in anyway. The second photo, the security camera also shot because the angel was moving away. The camera is designed to photograph anything in motion or unusual.... lots of tears today when they opened the security on their camera ...WOW!"

The television crew approached Joe Clark of Petoskey-based Glass Lakes Photography. Clark diplomatically suggested that it was possibly a moth that had activated Thorman's camera, but since it was out of focus there "may be room for interpretation."

The miraculous photo has already inspired a number of online responses, including "This Picture of a Moth is Going Viral Because People Think It’s an Angel" at Friendly Atheist, or a person who replied to Thorman's Facebook posting of the image with the line: "You know that's a moth and NOT an 'angel' right?"

Then again, perhaps we can expect the pilgrims to begin streaming up to Charlevoix County to touch the fender of the holy pickup.
