Michigan cities top list of best sports towns in new report

We had a hunch that Michigan had some of the top sports towns in the nation, and now we have proof.

WalletHub conducted an in-depth analysis of the best and worst cities for sports fans by comparing 341 cities across more than 50 key metrics, including performance level of the city’s teams, average ticket price of a game, number of sports bars, and attendance rate.

East Lansing clocked in at No. 3 nationally (Sparty on!), while Ann Arbor ranked No. 8 and Detroit No. 11. Ann Arbor topped the list of mid-size cities, while East Lansing topped small cities.

Additionally, East Lansing ranked No. 2 on a list of top 10 cities for football fans. Meanwhile, Detroit ranked No. 7 for top 10 hockey cities,
