Get ready to kick it back to 1776 — the historical hip-hop sensation Hamilton is coming to Detroit.
Since its debut in 2015, Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony Award-winning biography of founding father Alexander Hamilton has been one of the hottest (and priciest) tickets in town. Hell, even cancellation lines have become their own right of passage.
Now, Detroit will finally get a piece of the action, with Hamilton set to headline the 2018-2019 Broadway in Detroit season. The bad news is you'll have to wait until March 2019, though.
The touring production of Hamilton is one of six shows slated for the season, which also includes Disney's Aladdin, The Play That Goes Wrong, Waitress, and Anastasia.
OK, OK, you're thinking. But how I do I get Hamilton tickets?
Considering Chicago sold out six months worth of Hamilton tickets within 28-minutes, it's best to have a plan. Though individual tickets will go on sale later this year, season subscribers can guarantee seats by renewing for $410-$875. Don't have a subscription? Don't sweat. New subscription sales begin April 27.
