Silent Servant is a regular at Berlin's notorious Berghain.

Detroit’s LGBTQ+ scene will celebrate the return of one of its cultural outposts with the soft opening of Backstreet’s new location at 14925 Livernois Ave. The nightclub, which first opened in 1979 and was foundational to the creation of Detroit’s LGBTQ+ community, will christen its new safe space with techno music from Berghain regular Silent Servant and support from DJs Marshall Applewhite and Augustus Williams.

Soft opening event begins at 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 23 at Backstreet at Large Multiplex; 14925 Livernois Ave., Detroit; residentadvisor.net; Tickets are $15+.
