A new pilot program is offering Detroiters even more reason to forget the Motor City, or at least personal automobiles.
Starting today, ridesharing companies MoGo and Lyft have partnered up for a six-month pilot program that will offer discounts to MoGo riders who get picked up or dropped off by a Lyft driver at any one of MoGo’s 43 bicycle-sharing stations around the city.
MoGo daily pass holders get a $5 discount code for one Lyft ride to or from any MoGo station, valid for one week, after purchasing a MoGo Daily pass. Monthly and annual pass holders get a $5 discount code for up to five Lyft rides to or from any MoGo station valid for one month. More information on MoGo is available here.
Detroit now abounds with tech-savvy options to get around. Electric-assisted scooter companies Bird and Lime have set up shop in Detroit this summer, joining MoGo's bikes.
