The lore surrounding Darren McCarty — four-time Stanley Cup winner and former right winger for the Detroit Red Wings — is an action-packed, storied career of epic proportions. From game-winning goals to “Fight Night at the Joe,” this Hockeytown hero has undoubtedly left his mark on the ice. The book, produced and published by Mess Bucket Comics, traces McCarty’s life, including his hockey highlights, adventures with his rock band Grinder, his struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, and previously unpublished personal narratives.
