It’s no secret that Corktown is one of Detroit’s most historically rich hubs — a destination for shoppers, foodies, and libation lovers alike. Add a little bit of holiday cheer to the mix and you’ve got the second annual Corktown-a-Glow event. Get some shopping out of the way at Eldorado General Store or Ponyride Makers Market. Grab an Absinthe flight at Two James and nom on some bites from Bobcat Bonnie's. Or if Santa is more your bag, there will be free photo booth opportunities with the big man himself, as well as a tree lighting ceremony. Free shuttles will be on deck for any frozen (or inebriated) folks looking to see all the Corktown sights.
Corktown-a-Glow takes place in Corktown, Detroit on Saturday, Dec. 9; historiccorktown.org; Event starts at noon; admission is free.
