Nearly 8,000 miles away from Detroit is a vibrant, rich, and deeply influential culture. This year, the Detroit Institute of Arts will dedicate a weekend of programming to educate, demonstrate, and experience Indian culture through dance, music, cuisine, and Bollywood. “Celebrate India” will offer yoga in the Rivera Court, Henna, a Rangoli ritual demonstration, as well as folk dance performances, a screening of the Bollywood classic
