It’s time once again to celebrate all that’s good about Detroit. We humbly request your assistance. Vote in our annual Reader’s Poll and help us determine the best of the best. The results will be memorialized in the 18th Annual Metro Times Best of Detroit publication on Sept. 17. Our crack team of election workers will carefully tabulate your responses.

What’s in it for you? Other than the joy of knowing you’ve helped determine the city’s elite, voters who comply with our simple rules are automatically entered to win some fabulous prizes!

Rules: Vote on the paper ballot in the print edition or online. One ballot per envelope. One entry per person or e-mail account. No photocopies; only Metro Times original ballots will be accepted. Voters must select favorites in at least 20 categories or the ballot will not be counted.

Ballot-stuffing will not be tolerated. Believe us, we can tell. A random sample of all ballots submitted are checked for authenticity, not to mention any ballot that looks suspicious. (You don’t want to see your name or business or pet cause in an item titled: "Best attempt to steal an election.") Ballots must be postmarked by Friday, Aug. 29.

Early bird prize: We’ll draw one qualified ballot from the lot for an exciting prize. Entries for the early bird prize must be postmarked by Friday, Aug. 15.
