The integrity of our plebiscite is beyond reproach. For one thing, you can vote online. For another, neither Jackie Currie nor Katharine Harris will have anything to do with tabulation of your votes. Each one will be counted, fairly, accurately and, dare we say, lovingly.
Of course, unlike real elections, which usually give us mouth-breathers in bad suits, voting in ours can have tangible benefits. It qualifies you to win valuable prizes. And CBS News' exit polls are projecting you to be a winner!
Early Bird Prize: We'll draw one qualified (non-chad-hanging) ballot from the lot. That winner will get two passes to our big Best of Detroit VIP party on Sep. 20, which precedes the pulsating extravaganza that's open to anyone.
Electoral Rules: Vote on the printed paper ballot or in our online form link below. One printed ballot per envelope. One entry per person or e-mail account. No photocopies; only Metro Times original ballots will be accepted. At least 15 categories must be marked on a ballot or it will be shredded. Ballot stuffing (we can tell) will not be tolerated, and will result in cancellation of your Metro Times subscription. Ballots must be postmarked by Friday, Sep. 6.
