Excuse me while my inner '90s child screams at the top of their lungs in excitement: the beloved sitcom Sister, Sister starring Tia and Tamera Mowry is returning and we're so excited.

Tia Mowry revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that the rumors of the reboot are true and the show is "closer than ever" to happening.

Now you may be asking yourself why the Metro Times is writing about a TV show from the '90s getting a reboot, but you may not know that Sister, Sister is one of very few shows that takes place in metro Detroit.

Tia's character grew up in the city of Detroit, while separated-at-birth twin sister Tamara grew up in the suburbs. The two meet at a mall and their adoptive parents decide to move in with each other so the two can be sisters. Even during the last season of the show the girls go off to college at nearby University of Michigan.

Tia Mowry also revealed in her interview with ET that Jackée Harry and Tim Reid who play the twins' parents will also be back for the new show. And thank goodness because we all need a little bit more of Jackée Harry in our lives.

We'll keep you posted if we find out any more details about the show.
