Stone
Who stars: Robert De Niro, Edward Norton and Milla Jovovich. John Curran (The Painted Veil) directs.
What it is: A cat-and-mouse thriller that'll see comely co-star Jovovich — as arsonist Norton's seductive wife — schtupp prison guard De Niro. Does that mental image give you the heebee-jeebies too? Well, Milla was spotted dining in Ypsi's Olive Garden. Hard to believe. Even my 73-year-old aunt won't eat at the Olive Garden.
Where: De Niro and Norton have been shooting Stone at the Southern Michigan Correctional Facility in Jackson, and paying $70,000 for the privilege. Also in Ypsi and other Michigan locations.
When it's out: No release date.
The buzz: Not since 2001's The Score (with Marlon Brando) have Norton and De Niro teamed up.
The Irishman
Who stars: Christopher Walken, Val Kilmer and Ray Stevenson. Jonathan Hensleigh (The Punisher) directs.
What it is: A '70s gang-war flick, based a factual book by Rick Porrello, To Kill the Irishman: The War that Crippled the Mafia. Walken plays a Jewish nightclub owner and loan shark, Ray Stevenson's a mob boss, and Val Kilmer is a corrupt cop.
Where: Will bounce around Detroit (as a stand-in for Cleveland!) for the next month or so, adding a cool $5 mil to local coffers.
When it's out: No release date.
The buzz: That Christopher Walken will pull an O'Rourke.
