Considering all the doom going down in the world this week, the abandoned structure squad (known far and wide as ASS or, occasionally, known far as wide-ASS) thought we’d give y’all a break this week and offer up a hot tip to any prospective homeowner willing to put in a little sweat equity. This dwelling at 14874 Rockdale was seized by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office and is now up for bid online (along with several other abodes) at
www.waynecounty.com/property/default.htm. This cozy little bungalow features hardwood floors in the living and dining rooms, and a bath with — hold on to your hats here — all the fixtures in place! Current high bid is $1,800. There’s also a little matter of some back taxes that need to be cleared up before you can move in and set to painting and fixing a leak or two (or three) in the roof.
