What is your current state of mind?
I'm just trying to make sense of everything going on around me while still having time to chill and have fun with my life.
What is your idea of good fashion sense?
Being true to yourself in fantastic color combos.
What is the trait you have that has helped you the most as a designer?
My ideas. Now only if I could pull them off paper and make them reality.
How do you characterize your style sense in three words?
Layered, smooth, fresh.
What makes for a beautiful model?
Striking features that enhance, but don't distract from, the clothes.
What trend do you dislike the most?
Floral.
Which talent do you most wish you had?
Time management, but seeing as my favorite shows are coming back, I doubt that's going to happen.
What is your most treasured possession?
My car. I love to drive and it's jam-packed with everything in my life. It's like a third home (the first two being my actual home and Wayne State University).
Who are your heroes, design-wise or otherwise?
Ghesquiere, Furstenberg and the Caten twins.
Where do you draw inspiration from, outside the world of clothing?
I like the past, especially the industrial revolution, so I draw inspiration from that, present industrial stuff (cars, pipes, etc.) and the future with thoughts of Jetsons-like robots and technology.
Also, when did you begin designing clothing?
Designing: 2006; actually sewing garments: 2008.
What is the most marked characteristic of your personality?
My "no volume control" voice.
What do you dislike most about your appearance?
My right eye. It's slightly smaller than the other one.
