What is your idea of good fashion sense?
Knowing what looks good on you. Confidence in your own sense of style.
When did you begin designing clothing?
I started coming up with ideas for clothes my senior year of high school. I didn't start sewing, though, until my sophomore year of college.
What is the trait you have that has helped you the most as a designer?
My attention to detail. I try to make everything as perfect as I can. Also, I like it when people notice the small things that I add to pieces.
How do you characterize your style sense in three words?
Ironic, classic, simple
What makes for a beautiful model?
Someone who can act confident in anything that they are wearing. A pretty face helps too.
What trend do you dislike the most?
I think it would be the "Gotti boy" look. It's an epidemic and a cure needs to be found. Oh, also, Crocs are
terrible.
Which talent do you most wish you had?
Is flying considered solely a superpower or is it a talent too? If it's just a superpower then I will pick being
charismatic.
What is your most treasured possession?
I have a certain pair of Diesel jeans that I wear a lot. I don't think that I have a treasured possession though.
Who are your heroes, design-wise or otherwise?
Design-wise, John Varvatos for showing you can grow up Downriver and make it as a prominent fashion designer, Ralph Lauren for the empire that he has created, and Thom Brown for the signature look he created. Otherwise, my parents would be my everyday heroes.
Where do you draw inspiration from, outside the world of clothing?
My friends are usually a big source of inspiration. Other than that, I usually use the East Coast (New York and New England areas) for inspiration.
What is the most marked characteristic of your personality?
I don't know. I've been told that I am really random. I guess I don't really have a good response for that one.
What do you dislike most about your appearance?
Where do I start? Just to pick one, I will say, my height. I am average height but I would like to be six feet or taller.
