Massive Bloomfield estate sale features signed Andy Warhol painting, and more

A 91-year-old Sam Frank recently sold his Tobocman home in Bloomfield Township and he can't bring his absolutely massive collective of mid-century art, Andy Warhol paintings, and Syrian inlaid mother of pearl furniture with him.

His collection includes art by Roy Lichtenstein, Yoko Ono, and John Chamberlain, and furniture by Charles and Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. A veritable library of art books are also for sale, plus crystal stemware, dishes, and candelabra.

Frank's signed Andy Warhol painting is going for a cool $38,000, according to a representative from the company running the estate sale. A few unsigned cow paintings from Warhol, which once lived in the Art Institute of Chicago, are going for $5,000.

Prices are not available in the online listing available here, but they can be requested with a phone call to the estate sale company. All prices will also be marked at the sale.

The estate sale runs Thursday, March 22 through Sunday, March 25 and will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The home is located at 3467 Sutton Pl., Bloomfield Township.
