Former Michigan Gov. John Engler is selling his mansion in McLean, Virginia, for $4.5 million. The 9,330-square-foot, Gregorian-style home was built in 1986 and features seven bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. The home boasts vaulted ceilings, large windows, a sprawling kitchen, a breakfast room, a large guest suite, chandeliers, a fireplace, hardwood flooring, and neutral tones. The walk-out lower level features a wine cellar and wet bar, as well as a gym. Outdoor amenities include a large pool and a covered terrace.
Engler served as Michigans governor for three terms before pursuing a career as a lobbyist. He resigned as interim president of Michigan State University in January 2019 after claiming victims of Larry Nassars sexual abuse were enjoying the spotlight.
