Babich Wines Marlborough Pinot Noir
13.5% ABV
The Babich family founded a little winery 99 years ago in New Zealand. In the near century that has followed, they've worked to become an award-winning company that produces refined and drinkable wines. Situated in the picturesque rolling country of Auckland's Henderson Valley, the Babich Cellar Door allows guests to sip on these delicious wines while enjoying a downright beautiful view.
You've likely spotted a problem here. We're not in Auckland, let alone New Zealand. We're halfway around the world in metro Detroit. But, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy Babich's stylish and savory offerings. In fact, the winery will have samples of their gold-medal-winning pinot noir available at Sip Savor Stomp at the Royal Oak Farmers Market on Saturday.
This Marlborough pinot noir is made from grapes from several vineyards throughout the wine-making region. The savory red has notes of spice, plum, and cherry, and other earthy flavors, and it pairs well with meat and vegetable dishes like steak and mushroom pie.
