Detroit's own Stef Chura is bringing her spunky grunge pop to the Trumbullplex. Her soft, but sinister voice is emotional, paired with the fuzzy rock instrumentals, Chura's sound induces a young, dumb, just trying to have fun, type of nostalgia. Chura follows the '90s feel in her style, but gets personal in her tunes, making every note she hits an individual experience. This live performance will have to hold us over until her debut album gets released.

Wednesday, August 17, Doors at 7 p.m.; 4210 Trumbull St., Detroit; trumbullplex.org; $6.
