Future brings the Purple Reign Tour to Detroit tomorrow night

After stops in Madison, WI, and Chicago, IL, Detroit is next up for Future’s long awaited Purple Reign Tour. Future is arguably the hottest rapper going right now. With his recently released EVOL album, Billboard has named Future the fastest rapper to have three #1 albums (Dirty Sprite 2 and What a Time to Be Alive were both released last year).

The Atlanta born emcee has been consistent with his music. He can get lyrically super-fast and atutotuneish on songs like “Jump out the Face” and he always seems to find the right hook in cuts like like “Fuck up Some Commas” and “Where Ya At.”

The show also features Ty Dolla $ign and Detroit’s own Icewear Vezzo and it takes place Friday, Feb. 22 at the Fox Theatre; 2211 Woodward, Detroit; 313-471-6611; $49-$125.
