Update: The Internet community that clamored for the termination of the McDonald's employee who pulled a sick prank on a homeless man in Detroit last week has gotten its wish. The employee who worked at the Mickey D's on Grand River near Schaefer in Detroit has been fired, the Freep Press reports.

We still don't have a name for the worker who headed up the cruel trick, but the laughing voice behind the camera came forward earlier this week, identifying himself as a local rapper, Skeez.

In a video he posted to his Facebook page, Skeez said he is hoping to "redeem" himself by handing out designer handbags to Detroit's homeless and "blessing them with Gucci."

A McDonald's worker is gaining international attention for pulling a cruel prank that left a homeless man drenched and humiliated at Detroit drive-thru just a few days ago. The video was uploaded to LiveLeak on Nov. 6 and has gained over 100,000 views, and left thousands more, including this humble alternative weekly staff, utterly sickened by the footage.

The owner of the McDonald's, Wise Finley, has released this statement in response to the incident: "I am very disturbed by the inappropriate behavior of this employee. This type of behavior is not tolerated in my organization. I expect my employees to treat everyone with dignity and respect, and this was unacceptable. I am taking appropriate action with respect to this individual. " Many of the LiveLeak commentors are hoping that "action" includes termination.
